This policy explains how Global Crisis Index ("we", "us"), the operator of globalcrisisindex.co.uk (the "Site"), handles information when you use the Site. For any privacy matter, contact hello@globalcrisisindex.co.uk. We handle personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The Site is a static, read-only publication. We do not require accounts, we do not run advertising, and we set no cookies and use no tracking technologies of our own. That is why the Site shows no cookie banner: none is needed.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement service that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint devices and does not track visitors across sites. It provides us only aggregated statistics (such as page views, referrer categories, country-level location and device type). We cannot identify you from these statistics.
The Site is served by Cloudflare, Inc., whose global network necessarily processes technical data (such as your IP address and request headers) transiently in order to deliver pages and protect the Site from abuse. We rely on legitimate interests (operating and securing a website) as the lawful basis for this processing. Cloudflare acts under its own published data-protection commitments, including safeguards for international transfers.
If you write to hello@globalcrisisindex.co.uk we will process your email address and message in order to reply (legitimate interests). We keep correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose and any licensing relationship that follows. We do not add you to any marketing list and we do not sell or share your details.
The Site is general-audience educational content. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children.
Under UK data-protection law you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection in respect of personal data we hold about you (in practice, only email correspondence). To exercise them, email us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We may update this policy from time to time by publishing the new version on this page.
